The technique of creating robust exposed root structures was used, along with the labor-intensive "trunk cutting and branching" method to cultivate a tree with multiple bends. Later, it was transplanted to Kurume City, where decades of careful pruning and techniques like "budding" and "short leaf" arrangement shaped it into a splendid, intricately layered ornamental tree.
